This is excelent work. The state by state analysis will be particularly valueable since gifted program implementation varies wildly. Many schools dont even use universal screening which leaves so many talented students unidentifed. The demographic disparity data will be crucial for pushing policy reform, especialy in states that dont require schools to provide any gifted servces at all.
NAGC's "State of the States" report has been useful, but there's a lot more to do to get a full picture of the policy landscape. The NAGC report relies on survey responses from state ed officials — which has its upsides and downsides — and doesn't capture quite everything we think we need.
My GOODNESS, congratulations!

The National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) already issues a biennial "State of the States" report that contains much of this information. Will this project merely duplicate their work? https://www.nagc.org/events/nagc-state-of-the-states-report---an-overview
